Wikibook covering leadership from a single-leader perspective. Two sections apply to the collaborative leadership process: Section 8 “Charisma” and Section 11 “Leadership Rules”

1) The charisma section describes positive social traits that makes somebody a good team member. 2) The leadership rules give students practical ways that effective leaders can work with teams.

Strengths

The two sections are brief, and they could be used to help students frame what good collaborative leadership should look like.

Concerns

The other sections in the article speak more about a single leader. Because the focus is on leadership, students must be able to apply this to the collaborative leadership process.

Recommendations for use

Use this for teams who are building the ground rules for effective teamwork. How does one’s awareness of “charisma” play into their own personal contributions to the team? If the group requires a leader, which of the leadership rules apply to this group? Which rules would need to be rewritten?
