One of my favorite blogs, FreeTech4Teachers, recently shared materials about a game designed to help students improve their discussion skills. A small group of students participates in the discussion itself. The remaining students score the discussants’ performance and provide feedback afterwards. Although this game was developed to be used in grades 6 through 12, the discussion skills are ones many of my students need to improve. And the specific skills assessed during the game could easily be modified.
