COVID-19 Update: March 31, 2020

March 31, 2020 (11:23 pm) Central Time

Dear Simpson College Community,

We wanted to follow-up with you regarding our plans related to graduation. This key milestone is important to all of you as well as our larger campus community. Below you will find a Q & A related to some of the questions we have received.

Simpson College Graduation Q & A

1.    Q. Is Simpson College’s graduation commencement ceremony cancelled?

A.   Simpson College’s May, 2020 commencement is postponed and plans are being made to reschedule this event.

2.    Q. Will we receive the graduation application fee back?

A.   This fee is something all students pay for the processing of their application to graduate, regardless of their participation in commencement activities. While the spring 2020 commencement ceremony is postponed, students will still be receiving their degrees and this fee will not be refunded.

3.    Q. When will the new date be announced for commencement?

A.    Please continue to check the COVID-19 daily update emails as we hope to announce plans by the end of April.
